Do women make snap judgments about others? You bet! And WEtv's new show encourages it!
British personality Graham Norton is hosting WEtv's newest competition show, Most Popular, premiering Sunday, July 19 @ 10pm EST, then airing regularly on Thursdays @ 10pm EST (beginning July 23).
Each week, Most Popular features 7 female contestants who face 100 audience members who eliminate them based on snap judgments.
The premiere episode is an all out bride war as each of the women are either newlywed or engaged to be married soon. In the fist round of the show, each woman will be judged based on first impressions and one will be eliminated even before the audience learns their names. After that, each contestant will brave tough questions and reveal harsh realities about themselves. The last woman standing receives up to $10,000, getting $100 per vote.
I've seen the first episode, thanks to WEtv, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I certainly had my favorite, Kelli. But, you'll have to watch it for yourself on Sunday to see if she wins!
Below is a sneak peek for you!

My Secret Circle Review & Giveaway
My Secret Circle, by Senario, is the first-ever, and only, social networking world designed exclusively for tween-aged girls and their internet-cautious parents. (i.e. - ME!)
My Secret Circle is invisible to the online world and is only accessible by purchasing secure USB access keys, which are sold only at Justice retailers across the nation. Only friends can connect on My Secret Circle by purchasing an access key and then exchanging private codes set by the access key, making it extremely secure.
My Secret Circle access keys can be purchased individually or in a B.F.F. (best friend forever) Pack, which includes two online access keys, to shared among friends or siblings. Also available is a headset with microphone, which allows girls to voice-chat online in a secure environment. The headset with microphone is purchased separately. No personal information or subscription fees are required.
MY THOUGHTS:
I have two tween daughters. They love to chat. They love to play games. They love to use the computer. And, they love to stand over my shoulder watching me update my status, interact
with my friends and play great games on social sites. I've been asked over and over again if they can have their own site. But, due to so many online predators available to chat on those sites, I simply cannot allow it.
When the My Secret Circle B.F.F. Pack arrived at our home and I explained to them what it was all about, they could not wait to get logged in! And, they've played constantly since! They love how personalized everything is. The girls chat with each other and are eager to give their friends an access key for their birthdays so they can chat and play with them too!
When the girls started out, they got to create and "All About Me" page where they were able to put in things such as their favorite colors, favorite TV show, favorite band, etc. They also designed their avatar to reflect their personalities and likes. Then, they were able to change the way the entire page looked and gave it their own, personal flair.
The journal is very cool in that they can type in their thoughts and either keep it all to themselves, or publish it for their friends to see. Girls can choose their favorite "papers" to write on and their favorite font color. They can upload photos and create slideshows to share, and
decorate their photos and journal entries with fun little icons.
Kids can also play fun, age appropriate games, either on their own or with friends. There aren't a lot of games yet, as the whole concept of My Secret Circle is still so new. That is the only complaint I hear from my girls about the interface. I did read somewhere that new games could be collected, though we still aren't quite sure how. I'll be glad to see and read more on this aspect of the interface.
The girls really enjoy that they can IM with friends on My Secret Circle. It makes them feel grown up and truly a part of the social networking world. I think it's a great way to prepare them for using networking sites as they get older. I like that it's so incredibly secure. To add a friend, you generate a friend code which is completely unique to only one friend. Once it's used, it's obsolete to everyone else and you must have the access key generate a new code to add another friend.
My Secret Circle is incredibly easy to use. Both of my girls, ages 9 and 10, were able to set up their own accounts and can use the interface independently. To log off, they simply remove the USB key. Each child will need their own key and My Secret Circle is targeted towards children ages 8 and up.

Rock On! Guitar Hero DS
A new Nintendo DS game has made its way into our house and into the hands of my girls. They couldn't be happier! They love having something new to play and this one is a real hit!
From Activision, the makers of Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits,
"Handheld guitar gods can now choose how they raise-up their band from the underground music scene to worldwide rock stardom in Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits. Featuring a set list comprised of 28 master tracks from influential artists including Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Tenacious D, The Strokes and Weezer, Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits expands on the innovative Guitar Hero® gameplay on the Nintendo DS by introducing an all-new Fan Request system that challenges players to jam like never before. Fret board fanatics can once again unleash their inner rock stars anytime, anywhere as they hone their shredding skills and jam to face-melting modern rock tracks from the last five years in Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits.
KEY FEATURES:
* Rock out to today’s hottest tracks – Shred along to 28 master tracks, all modern rock hits from some of the hottest bands including Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, Tenacious D, Weezer, The Strokes and more. Players will tour through five all-new venues that are as extreme as the tunes played in them.
* Choose your path to stardom – For the first time ever, players can choose how they take their band from the underground music scene to worldwide rock stardom with the exciting non-linear gameplay progression in Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits.
* Do it for the fans – Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits delivers an all-new gameplay experience with Fan Requests. By completing Fan Requests players build their fan base and open up new challenges to rock-out like never before including jamming to an entire song in Hyperspeed, battling it out in a Guitar Duel with active Bomb Notes or whammying every single hold note in a song.
* Rock out anytime, anywhere – Fans can take the Guitar Hero experience wherever they go with Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits. The Guitar Hero™ Guitar Grip™ mimics a guitar fret board and fits seamlessly in people’s hands to deliver the same core gameplay that defines Guitar Hero.
* The party never stops – Song streaming features allow players of Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits and its predecessors, Guitar Hero® On Tour: and Guitar Hero® On Tour: Decades, to share songs via local wireless connectivity. Players can rock out together in multiplayer modes, jamming to tracks from all three versions of the game."MY THOUGHTS:
Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits ROCKS! My kids love to play and feel like real rock stars! They take the games everywhere they go. They love to build their fan base and try to play the songs perfectly. Every time we get in the car, out come the DS and soon after, we hear them jamming out in the backseats!
I have to admit, with all the fun I've witnessed the kids having with the games, I had to give it a shot myself. Wow! It's a LOT harder than it looks! But, tons os fun!
The grip is easy to apply and comes with a cool pick. It's fairly comfortable to hold, though, you do have to figure out what position works best for you.
My only complaint? It should come with a huge label that reads, "WARNING: This game is HIGHLY addictive!"

Keep In Touch With Kajeet
Today's kids have schedules that are every bit as hectic, and often more-so, than mom and dad's! With families often off in different directions every day, parents are discovering how great it can be for their child to have a cell phone to keep in touch. However, it's scary to think about all of the people who could contact your child, or who might text them.
Kajeet offers a great sense of security with their phones and service that are just for kids. Parents have complete control of how much time their child gets, who they can call and who can call them. And, Kajeet even offers GPS locators on their phones so parents can track their child's every move!
My daughters both have a Kajeet phone and they LOVE them! The calls are crystal clear and the phones are easy to use. I like them because I can add as much time as I feel appropriate and the plans start at just $4.99 a month! Also, I like that I can block calls I don't want my children receiving. Since Sarah is so involved in soccer, I enjoy the freedom of running around while she is at practice and she can just call me if they finish early or if she needs another Gatorade. I also like that I can set what hours my kids can use their phones. That means, no texting in church!
There are tons of fun little games and cute, child appropriate ringtones and wallpapers for the kids to choose from. There are also a variety of phones for every budget and need.
If you find your child needing their own phone, check out Kajeet, the cell phone service just for kids!
